Torrox Pueblo is a typical whitewashed Andalusian village. It has a history dating back to the Romans. Torrox Pueblo is approximately 4km inland.
Torrox is actually divided into two parts, the upper village nestling in the mountains with its Moorish influence and the lower village, nearer the sea reflecting its Roman origin. More recent sites of historical interest include the sixteenth century convent and the imposing eighteenth century parish church.
